The evening that the NLEC first responders found Will and Jodie it was 5 degrees above zero with a wind chill of minus 15. Will and Jodie have been homeless and living on the riverfront in an abandoned tug pilot building for the past 10 months. Because Will is an experienced outboard motor mechanic and there isn’t a lot of work available for him in the winter, they work at odd jobs in order to feed themselves. They were more than appreciative for a motel stay out of the freezing cold and a hot shower! Because of your compassion and generous donations, Will and Jodie were able to survive the bitter cold of February, 2021!
