When I was rescued by New Life Evangelistic Center I was on the streets of Springfield living in a tent and abandoned houses.  Before the Covid–19 virus, I had resources.  After the coronavirus started, crisis resources started to close and it was nearly impossible to eat, move around or shower or get clean clothes, stay clean, or healthy. I knew that I needed to get off of the streets or risk being swallowed up by depression and the cycle of homelessness that occurs when any person is on the streets too long.  I joined the New Life Evangelistic Center’s Residential Training Program.  Since I have joined the program, the weight of surviving each day has been lifted and I am now able to focus on my personal relationship with Christ as I work each day to help others
